The clamshell exercise

The clamshell exercise tests balance, hip stabilization, and works the obliques.

It also activates the glutes, tightening and strengthening to give your bum a nice shape!

Begin lying on your side with your knees bent and your body angled – you want your shoulders towards the back of the mat, and your knees towards the front. Stabilising yourself with your forearm, and engaging your core, open and close your knees in the clamshell motion.
